Microsoft IT Academy [w]
Learn anything from computer basics and Word, Excel or PowerPoint to Microsoft server technician coursework; even prepare for certification exams.
This resource is intended for Washington State residents only. To access this resource you will need:
  • A personal email account. You can create a Microsoft email, or you can use an address you already have.

Use your library card to take instructor-led, six-week, online courses. Subjects include: computing, science, finance, languages, mathematics, and some test prep. Check with your college or university to see if credits transfer.
Coursera [w]
Take courses from instructors at more than 60 universities--for free! Topics include economics, genetics, foundations of teaching, chemistry, programming, arts and more. Classes available in multiple languages.
Khan Academy [w]
Watch tutorials online and practice a wide variety of life skills and academic subjects, from computer programming to printmaking or 3rd grade math to entrepreneurship.
